Well it's here again, but a bit earlier this year. Live @ The Castle is this Sunday and the weather looks much better than last year!

I know a lot of people were disappointed with last year's event, and it was purely down to the organisers having to use the Shakespeare stage instead of the usual truck stage. The ground was too wet to get the truck into position, and so you had to go into the tiered seating to watch the main stage bands performing as opposed to lounging on the grass bank like all previous years. It changed the whole dynamic of the day. This won't happen this year…the ground isn't soaked from weeks of rain, so I'm pretty sure they'll be allowed to drive the truck up the hill.

Anyway…here's the info:

Price: Admission (12+ years) £3, Car Park £5
Unfortunately no dogs are allowed.

This sounds pretty good, we weren't sure if there was proper seating or not because we'd rather picnic on the grass. Does anyone know if you need to get tickets prior or can you just buy at the gate?

You just pay on the gate and get a stamp on your hand. Even last year it was well worth the £2/3. I'm really looking forward to it!
Cheers, that's handy. I won't be able to until after work anyway but at that price i'm really not that bothered. :p

I like the fact that .44 Pistol are on early so I can enjoy most of the day without Goldilox stressing =D

HooooooooEeeeee!! No dogs, at long last the organisers have heeded my advice and considering the expected weather conditions it's a good call. In recent years we've had pit bull lookey-likeys straining to get to other hounds for a fight and 2yrs back an Alsatian was let off the lead and struggling to find it's owner became somewhat agitated and pretty scary indeed so much so that it deserved to be shot..........

I'm much happier with the no dogs rule either - although how well it's enforced is another matter

We had a pretty nice time there. Sat up top round the castle and had some food. Brilliant way to unwind after a days work. Did see one lad hauled off by the police and have a bit of a struggle, anyone know what that was about?

wanna see my snake?
Saw a guy get a ticket from the plod for peeing in a bush, not sure if it was because there were kids nearby or just that he was too lazy to use the toilets provided.

We saw the cops leap into action a couple of times...both of which appeared to be due to idiots fighting. Never seen that kinda thing at any of the previous ones.

Overall we had a great day! Having the Catch 22 tent in the trees was a great addition...hopefully that will be there every year from now on.

The amount of litter was incredible.
