On Sunday, 3rd June, Castletown Residents' Association are holding a street party to celebrate that old bird whose family have far too much power over many countries yet are 100% unelected. Anyway...been asked to post this, and I do love a good party...

We are organising, in conjunction with The Railway Inn, a street party on the afternoon of 3rd June. There will be:
  • Live music
  • 2 barbecues - 1 meat, 1 veggie
  • A bouncy castle
  • Games for all
It will be starting at 1pm and finishing around 5 but we will be setting up from 12 onwards and all volunteers to help with setting up and clearing up with be very welcome!

Food

We are laying on some food from the proceeds of the race night so the barbecue is free for residents. If you bring your friends, we would welcome a donation.

This is a bring and share event. In addition to the barbecue we need:
  • Sandwiches
  • Rolls
  • Salad
  • Cakes
  • Jelly, trifle - whatever you think will go down well
  • Fruit juice - children's drinks
If you want to check what would be best to bring, ring Chris Merritt on 604212

Tables and chairs

We will be laying on some tables but if you can bring one that would help. Please bring chairs as we will not be providing them. Also welcome would be any outdoor games.

Hope to see you all there!

:)

This open to anyone, or just the locals?
It's open to anyone but there was a form that was sent round so locals could confirm their attendance and say what they were going to bring, but that was for the street party itself. The pub's open as normal and the bands will be in a marquee out the back. Having seen the dreadful forecast I can imagine everyone will be in the pub or marquee anyway.
