Volunteers wanted by digital community station.
Stafford's Super Radio launched on November 1st this year, and in less than a month we've developed a strong and growing audience in Staffordshire's county town.
Now we're looking people who would be prepared to volunteer their time to help us develop still further. In particular we need to fill the following roles in our organization:
Weekday presenters
Weekend presenters
Broadcast journalists
Advertising sales reps.
We're a social enterprise, and as a result, almost all the above positions are voluntary – with the exception of sales, which is paid at a commission rate of 25%. If somebody felt they could multi-task, doing one of the other jobs as well as sales, then we'd be more than willing to consider them.
The successful candidates should be enthusiastic about radio and the idea that a small non-profit radio station run by people with enthusiasm can make better radio than a bland corporate station whose sole purpose is to make money.
The successful candidates should live in Staffordshire, or be prepared to commute at their own expense.
