My hubby has an extensive cd collection, we also have various speakers and a Spotify subscription, yet despite this he now wants some vinyl.

As his birthday is approaching I thought I’d help him out and get him started.

Ideally I want something fairly compact, a Bluetooth option would be handy too so we can lose the current smart speaker from the room it ends up in. Budget isn’t unlimited but I understand that sometimes you get what you pay for so I’m not convinced by some of the £50 offerings on Amazon.

I’ve been looking at this one but I’m not sure what is good value with this sort of thing, and if it says it connects to Bluetooth speakers does that mean it will play music from my phone? Can anyone make some recomendations/suggestions of what I should be looking for/avoiding.

By the look of it it's Bluetooth so although it talks of Bluetooth speakers, if you are connected via RCA (wired) to speakers in theory you should be able to use Bluetooth as an input. But I can't be certain.
That turn table has a built in pre amp, so that's definitely a bonus. I think as a turntable it will do the job.
