So, I'm not really sure where to start with this.

I think that I've had a bit of a meltdown.

To be honest, this week, I've not enjoyed being in my own headspace.

Most people on here know that I have a propensity for being opinionated and outspoken.

But even by my own standards, I've utterly and totally gone over the top this week.
I've been very rude, and very judgemental. I've been opinionated.

I would just like to apologise for the posts that will have undoubtedly have upset people.

I'm embarrassed and mortified. I'm so so sorry.

Any vitriol, and negative comments about what I said, I'm totally taking it on the chin.

At least you have an opinion and aren't afraid to express it, although in this chain I do think you may have been a little misguided.

Please don't stop expressing what you believe in, perhaps sometimes think what the actual message you're trying to get across is.

I would err towards 'toe', though I would avoid doing it, in general.

I did once try to discover when the last party line, in the telephone landline sense, went - if, indeed, there are none left now.

I do wonder if vaping is generally much better, than trying to go cold turkey if quitting cigs ?

Thing is, nicotine..... is the addictive drug.... and vape you have more than a Cig, (depends on strength but normally if quitting you want a high one anyway)...... idk I know this is a old topic but i've been thinking about it this week so there we go.

And if you don't get on with vape.... surely it means you'll smoke more if you decide to give up on the vape afterwards? bit like crash dieting no?

Exactly, and it's very much a addictive personality thing too

there's a reason why there's so many vape shops in town now, I suppose it's better than empty ones mind!

As I understand it, the nicotine problem is largely one of the addictive effect, rather than of physical harm, that mostly comes from the use of smoke as the delivery system.

A potential problem of vaping is that dosing is less easy for the user to estimate, cigarettes are fairly well standardised, and it could be that a vaper is subjecting themselves to gradually increasing doses over time.

I never did resort to 'vaping' - i just stopped, and so far i have managed to stay stopped.

It remains one of the, if not the, greatest achievements of my life.

If you were looking for some sort of arbitrary sign to stop TODAY, well here it is. It might not be in a form you were expecting, but that is hardly my fault. You CAN do it, you must believe in yourself.

Ultimately the whole 'e-cig' shenanigans seemed like harder work than it was worth to me, but you should definitely do you.

I switched from smoking to vaping maybe 6 years ago or so . I reduced the nicotine down to zero but yet I still constantly have my vape in my hand . I’m not constantly vaping on it but i guess I feel kind of lost without it. Guess I’m addicted to the habit rather than the substance. I feel like Iv let myself down really , because one of the reasons I quit smoking was because I didn’t like the fact how I would plan my day around have a fag. Double Checking to make sure I had all my fags before I left the house , the power that I felt the fags had over me etc but now I still do that with my vape. Disappointed in myself.

You could wean yourself off your vape in a similar way couldn't you? Leave it in the house whilst you go in the garden for a few minutes for example and keep making the time longer.
