My father spent some time at El Adem, back in the days of King Idris, when we still felt it necessary to tell people how they should spell their own place-names. He says that a declaration of a 'no-fly zone' would have got everybody's vote then..

It seems a curious 'no-fly' zone that blows up tanks. I'm not hugely knowledgeable in the field of modern weaponry but even i know that tanks don't fly.
