A bit of activity there today, difficult to be sure what was going on, but it may just have been dismantling equipment.

At about 11.30 a van was parked alongside with people removing faux shrubbery.

This venue was on a list of numerous places that were planned for changes and some of the others have already come off. At the time I saw the proposals it was intended to re-open as a music and dining venue, as before. The others on the list were Hogarths, the library renovation, the new Ibis hotel and turning the old tavern into a restaurant. Maybe there was a lot of truth in it?

It’s been bought by a Stoke family for around a million, they’ve painted the inside a lovely shade of green. Think it’s going to be a restaurant, bar, and function room, similar to the original post house plans, not sure about the club bit.

It would surely need thirty nine additional shades?

Don't think so. They are supposed to be opening the Broughton Arms out Crewe way next year though and I can thoroughly recommend The Red House at Lilleshall.
