O to be in Brisbane
Now the Ashes are here.

Does anyone know whether there are any pubs showing the Ashes (and not the remnants of their real fires, thanks) - and till what time they would be doing so?

If you woke up this morning and saw Australia's scorecard, you probably assessed England did not play well. Let me tell you that simply was not the case.
England could not have done anything more with the ball before lunch. They could have rolled Australia over in the morning session but luck was conspicuously absent for the tourists at the Gabba.
Can they bat all day?

don't mention the blinds
Pay TV has not done the game any favours, and another thing look at the empty seats at the gabba.....

Vaughan has just made a point of how full it is tonight.

Speaks volumes.

That will be a yes, then.

Day two 2nd Test.

Opening words of TMS - "The sun is shining, it's baking hot, temperature reaching 36 deg. here in Adelaide..."

36 degrees!

It has been brought to my attention that there is an hour long highlights programme on ITV4 at 10pm.

That is all.

In the words of Lieutenant George in Blackadder Goes Forth: "Permission for lip to wobble, sir?" That's England's first victory in Australia for almost eight years and for many of you tuning in, this is uncharted territory down under.
:)

So Blackadder the Third.

What would be preferable - outright humiliation or honours even to set up two more tests of endurance? I'm not sure i know myself.

Nice to have it in the bag, though, ey?

I'm as like to stay up until two as i am to masturbate contentedly to an episode of Coast, but i'd like to ask, again,
Does anyone know whether there are any pubs showing the Ashes and till what time they would be doing so?
Yours affectionately.

Due to the football, the ITV4 highlights show is on later at 10.35pm tonight.

What an extraordinary series this is turning out to be.
