Won't it be ironic if a worker on the nearby HS2 project needs A&E. Sorry mate, we spent all the money on a train we don't need.
Not really. The two bear no relation and construction workers dont decide which hospitals to close, funnily enough.

I think you'll find that we pay tax, which is distributed for our benefit by the gov, so every bit that goes on unnecessary railways won't be spent on the NHS.

I've heard on a few occasions lately people being told to go private as they won't get things done on the NHS.

Setting up a GP Practice based in The Bahamas the latest crockofshit to come from The Conservative Party's privatised NHS

I was specifically told by Mr Lefroy's representative on my doorstep, when I proposed the likelihood of A&E being removed, "That will not happen." - having received a 48.5% vote from the electorate, he might like to reflect on that - or maybe it just doesn't matter.

He won't be bothered. He got elected, which is all he was interested in. We won't see or hear much of him now till the next election, when he will be all over us like a rash. Except by then there won't be a hospital to cure the rash.

There will be a hospital but maybe not an A&E.

News: Man arrested following arson incident at Royal Stoke Hospital

Your latest Smart Alert.

We have arrested a 39-year-old man on suspicion of arson following two incidents in Stoke-on-Trent last night (June 7).

Officers launched an investigation, working with colleagues at Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, who determined the cause of the fires to be deliberate.

The man, who was detained in Manchester this afternoon, has been arrested on suspicion of committing arson with intent to endanger life at the Royal Stoke University Hospital and Staffordshire University’s Beacon building in College Road, Stoke-on-Trent.

Fire broke out at the hospital’s main building at around 6pm yesterday evening. Patients had to be temporarily evacuated. Earlier in the evening at around 4.45pm fire broke out in toilets at Staffordshire University.

The first I knew there had been any kind of fire in the building next to mine at the uni was these news reports - but they did try and set fire to a toilet (I think) - I did spot a fire engine as I was leaving for home but didn't think it was worth noting.

People are stupid

People don't think ahead or plan for their future anymore

Politicians rely on this

So you get bleating individuals in distress in a state of desperation when their family can't get the healthcare they want having selectively forgotten they voted Conservative. Voted for cuts and low taxation so they can poison and gorge themselves and then expect an instant cure once presenting with illness but not understanding why it's not available
