Well that brings you in line with about 52% of the people who will nonetheless scream at you that Julie Bailey is an actual Witch who should probably burn in hell or something.... Don't know enough about the event to know how accurate it was...
Julie Bailey brings out fairly extreme views in people even still. For clarity she is a bona fide witch.
Now what you have to understand is that, such is Julie Bailey's magical power, Stafford's 'general engineering decline' is actually because of her too.All this stuff happened long after I'd left Stafford in 1989. You have to go where the work is and the town was in engineering decline generally at that time.

Can't say I'd noticed an ethnic Stafford accent. Just put it down to the place being overrun by Stokie immigrants.Indeed
Accents change approximately every 10 miles where there is a high density population
Stafford has flat vowels, but less so than Stoke

One thing i was there for was when the guy on the Support Stafford Hospital page, who had been a nurse on the Wards at the time, dropped the bomb that there were vases there, when it had become an article of faith that there could not have been.... Apparently patients drank out of vases...
