Fenella, Oh Lovely Fenella,... Chorlton and The Wheelies, one of the all time greats of Childrens TV, a hallucinogenic, ride of a show, and no need to recourse to taking hard drugs! Brilliant.
Stafford won 2.1 on Saturday, now in the last 16 of the FA Trophy! Drawn at home against Tamworth, Feb 2nd. Wembley but 3 games away! I remember the three trophy finals in the 70's. Stafford twice winners .... town empty...30,000 at Wembley... couldn't get black and white ribbon in the town, even from Bratt & Dykes ... jumpers for goalposts... Jimmy Sargeant, Alf Wood, Ray Williams... cried on my dads knee when Scar... drunken revellry on the coach... unscheduled stops on motorway (yes! we had one even then) ... its not life and death, its... Boro'... town at a standstill ...open coach... ... if only!

Without wishing to be a pedant, I am at a loss as to understand why gon2seed has felt it to be appropriate to post information and opinion regarding the latest pursuits of Stafford Rangers in a thread dedicated and titled in honour of the Castle Tavern Steak House.
Surely, and with the utmost respect gon2seed, your post would have gone to far better use in the Sports & Activities section. Perhaps it too could have gone on to help contribute to the creation of a similarly popular and perhaps equally controversial and opinion generating thread.
Incidentally, the position of my current residential abode actually enables me to watch the Rangers games free of charge from the topper most (of the popper most) part of of my living quarters.
If anyone wishes to pay me any currency (of a smaller amount than the Rangers charge), I may consider receiving paying guests who would then be able to take advantage of this vantage point. They will also recieve complimentary drinks and a limited amount of anti-pasti, such as olives and a selection of dry cured meats.
However, I'm unsure whether such an ambience would be particularly appealing to the average Stafford Rangers fan (Or perhaps I'm being somewhat presumptuous and judgemental).
Though the offer most definitely still stands.

Now your over verbose interjection has resulted in a facistic axing of my voluable, rambling, but passionate, outpouring. It now sits in the stagnant backwater of "Sports & Activities" where none but the desperate, lonley, sad or insane ever venture.
I am considering a campaign to have my post returned to its intended place, and you came within a hairbreadth of becoming the first ever recipient of a gon2seed cuffy.
I posted on said thread, (not Fred, right or otherwise) because no one ever reads the Sports thread. Aim being to publicise The mighty Rangers. Well if nothing has happened gon2seed, but some rare and much needed activity in the 'back water' that is Sports & Activites, so be it!
Perhaps the forum could be used as spring board to raise support for the ailing Stafford Rangers team and perhaps as consequence help their plight in raising them up from where they currently languish in their respective table.
However, I must point out that some of the language used by the supporters of both the home and away support at the Rangers ground is at once shocking and abominable and worthy of contempt and condemnation. I myself am not easily offended and also consider myself to be fervently open-minded, but, members of the fairer sex such as my lady partner, are less so.
Maybe we as literate, erudite and articulate forumites could contribute to creating a new culture of educated abuse and merriment 'down the Rangers'. I have often contemplated whilst standing on my balcony smoking a 'fatty boombatty' and observing the Rangers boys kick their bag of wind around the pitch, the idea of purchasing myself a loud speaker of some kind. Perhaps off ebay, putting it to my lips and in moments of silence, when there is a lull in both the shouting of the fans and hyperbole of the tannoy speaker, shouting into the quiet air for all and sundry to hear..."YOU'RE ALL A LOAD OF WANKERS....!"

Unfortunately, due to the nature of my employment I have little time to be sat around the reading the mindless and bored witterings of forumites in previous threads.
I have only time to write my own mindless witterings in the name of entertaiment. ie. Mine.
