The real Stafford Grand Prix is here

Who fancies driving a Formula One car? We've recently bought this Mercedes Formula One car. It comes kitted out with simulation software which is the same as used by the proper F1 boys to get a sneaky bit of practice. We use it for shows and for driver training for racing drivers. I was wondering how much interest there would be if we set it up down at AA Silencers, maybe get a bit a league going? We currently have an on line league where the fastest driver each season wins a drive around a race track in a proper single seater. That comes from the shows we do but we can just as easily have a local one too if there's enough interest.

yeah, i was thinking the other day that the stafford road club didn't choose the best of names for their event, given that Stafford Grand Prix is the nickname (even featured in the newsletter) for all the boyracers about town! lol

now this thread is what grand prix is really all about! :D

I was just thinking seeing as there seems to be a lot of car and driving related chatter we could throw on a tea and biscuits evening down at the garage. I've had quite a few of our regulars show an interest but this could be a bit of fun for any of the Forumites too who fancy a go. It's no computer game but we can turn it down so it's easy enough to drive, you wouldn't have to be like that Jenson Hamilton or Lewis Button to cope with it. The boy racers can do their own thing, this isn't aimed at them. If it was it would look like a Saxo not an F1 car.
