Cat-cams have been around for a while..

I need one of these to attach to Barry the stray grey cat, to see if he really does have a home!

Looking forwards to the program, our last cat Smokey stole a whole cooked chicken from the house opposite years ago ;) Mwahahahaha...

Does Barry have a collar? If so, then you could, maybe, attach a note and see if you get a response.

That's a brill idea, Barry does have a collar but its rather mangy (as is Barry), trouble is that he seems terrified of people - its taken 2 months (and lots of food)to let me get near enough to stroke him - poor Barry.

Just imagine if you were approached by something as proportionately large to you as you are to Barry - would you let it stroke you...?

Could be! I'm covered at the front by my neighbours cam, at the side by next door, and maybe Barry's trying to cover the back?!

I bought a little GPS tracker from maplin a while ago for walking but have hardly used it. Maybe I should attach it to George one night...

Come to think of it...

As much as they seemed to downplay the effect of cat predation by saying they killed a little less than half an animal each p/w; if the cat population is the 10 million they postulated at the beginning of the show, then that would suggest that something in the order of 5 million small animals die at the paws of our furry friends in any given week.

Which seems quite a lot. It is more than possible that i have picked up the proverbial 'wrong end' of that particular stick - can one 'get a witness', so to speak?

3 cats make 2 kills a week, so each cat makes 0.6666 kills. They were American cats though, probably more violent.

I have 2 cats, they've only brought one kill into the house since Christmas (touch wood, no more please), but my previous cat would bring in 4 - 5 per week during the summer. Just because they are not bringing them home, doesn't mean they're not making kills?

I have 3 cats, none have brought anything near the house since about last September time, If and when the warm weather comes, my back yard will look like the half of Staffordshires bird population has been slaughtered. Last year there was only the 2 going out, little un will is venturing out now. Along with mice, butterlies. moths etc, there is a lot of murder going to happen.
