Anyone know what's going on as I have a vested interest (it's (was)) my closest watering hole. Work seems to be going on with much gusto with what seems like a massive extension going on the back end.

Indeed it seems very busy whenever i've passed that way recently, surely only the bravest of the brave would attempt to re-open it as a pub-restaurant......

Agreed Basil, it's been opened and closed by several budding landlords over the last few years and all have gone the same way alas. My only thought is that the brewery may be chucking some wonga at it on the back of the success of the Dog and Doublet. I can't see that it has been bought to be turned into a private residence otherwise the first thing to go would have been the signage.

Having googled the D&D i was most interested that it also has accomodation and was given a 5star review by a guest......

Does anyone know what is happening with the seven stars at sandon bank? There seems to be a lot of renovation, but they haven't taken the old pub signs down, so I was wondering if it is still going to be a pub/restaurant.

I'm sure i heard that it was being 'converted' to residential use - but can't for the life of me remember who gave me this information, so don't know how much weight to give it.
