doesn't this clash with he middle of nowhere festival?
i think so, but it can't really be helped.. it's bank holiday weekend, so it will clash with quite a few things i would imagine.. this is the weekend of the stafford music festival, innit (which this garden party is sort of an unofficial extension of)?

It is yes, and much as i was interested in going to the MONF, i have to pledge my allegiance to Forum-based activities. It'll be a shame to miss it, but as bobby points out there will be loads going on that weekend, and you can't be everywhere at once. We need as many people as poss to film Sofa's performance in the Market Sq, and then jasperfilms can make a funky montage of the day!

The preparations for the staffordforum.com Garden Party are rolling on - there have been many kind offers to flip burgers and the number of acts getting involved is rising steadily! Subrosa (http://www.myspace.com/subrosaa) have confirmed already, as well as JAH Mills - our very own Johnny Cashmeister!

But - calling all Forumites - would you or someone you know like to play the staffordforum.com Garden Party? Please PM me with any contacts or suggestions, a.s.a.p.! This is, after all, everyone's staffordforum.com Garden Party! Non-music acts would be most welcome, too, of course. How about some poetry readings, or a joke contest? Any suggestions are most welcome!

BTW: For anyone needing directions to the Railway Inn click
here!

i regret to inform there will be no johnny cash...

It does that. If it was a toss up between no redemption and tatu then i would personally take the latter. That doesn't mean i don't want to see your band though. Any gigs lined up?

For anyone who missed Gee from Nushed Kruts at Jam Night last week you had really better not miss him perform at the Garden Party - Forumites - you are going to LOVE it! Gee, is "Poison" by Alice Cooper in your repertoire, by any chance? If so, what are the chances of Andreas Rex being allowed to do guest vocals?

 Funnily enough myself and a number of other Forumites belted out a drunken rendition of said song last night in the Castle Tavern on the way to The Grapes! Not sure whether i'm up for a public performance just yet!
