Supposedly, the new owners take/have taken over this week.
Have they found a new owner then?
I can assure you I’m very much still about however if you don’t see me, it’s because I’m off supporting England U20’s rugby tour and one Sam Lewis http://www.englandrugby.com/news/world-rugby-u20-championship-england-france-preview/
Said without prejudice?
Best of luck to Sam and England
My brothers nephew won the under 19's with Australia in 2006.
Very proud (extended) family moment
It does not say anything about new owners
Seems to be the same at the Bank House at Hixon. Standards have dropped recently. Food and service quite poor now. Seems like the novelty has worn off or maybe they don't think they need to try since the Green Man stopped doing meals
I'm a shocker on the prejudicial front. I have my reasons.
Unfortunately I can’t comment on such a random statement as you well know if your a customer of ours we take all feedback seriously and reply to any reviews posted via our ResDiary feedback portal, we have fortnightly meetings where we review any such reviews and always try to improve and learn from constructive feedback, unfortunately I disagree that standards have slipped across our properties yes we’re not perfect but we are committed to what we do. Please feel free to email or phone me personally to discuss this if you feel I can do more.
You’ve lost me on this!
Balancing out the less positive reviews, a group of us went to the moat house for and evening meal/ stay for a special occasion at the weekend.
Best meal I have in a long time anywhere....all of us thought it was superb, great service all the way up to breakfast the next day.
That is the high standard I have have come to know and love

The Lewis Partnership today announces the sale of The Swan Hotel, Stafford to The Coaching Inn Group for an undisclosed sum.
The popular Stafford town centre venue comprising of a Brasserie style restaurant, bars, coffee shop and 31 hotel bedrooms had been part of Staffordshire based hospitality company, The Lewis Partnership, since 2001 when they purchased the property from Scottish & Newcastle brewery.
Chris Lewis, Managing Partner of The Lewis Partnership said “After 17 successful years at The Swan, we have made the decision as a family to concentrate on and grow the destination dining and events element of our business. Although this change in focus means that our time in Stafford Town Centre has come to an end we would like to thank all of our customers and staff for their support over the years.”
“Coaching Inn Group have a fantastic reputation. Their impressive and ever growing portfolio of beloved coaching inns, like The Swan leaves me with no doubts that they will make great custodians of this historic venue”
