Bars and Pubs

There are plenty of bars and pubs to choose from, with familiar names like Wetherspoons and the Hogshead offering tasty food at student prices, and independent hang-outs such as Surgery and Litten Tree offering something a little different.

You won’t go hungry in Stafford – there are stacks of places to eat. Italian, curry, Chinese and Mexican are served up in the town’s restaurants, bistros and cafes - with Macdonald’s and Wimpy on hand for quick, cheap eats.

You’ll probably get lured into one of the town’s night clubs - Zanzibar, Reynolds and Chicago Rock - but if you’re an enthusiast you can groove in Birmingham, Wolverhampton or Manchester and be sure that a late night train on a Friday and Saturday will get you back to base.

Hardly selling our beloved town to the students is it?? Maybe this is a good thing though! Late night train from Brum?! Isn't that 10pm or something?

Well...I would say they'd be best off mentioning the 3am National Express from New Street to Stafford for £12...but I fear that wouldn't be the best thing to mention right now lol!!!

That's what I thought.

Even asked the lad in the office where the mexican once was!
