This is why we shouldn't use HTML email

A certain cake manufacturer allows customers to order cakes by email, including a message to be iced on to it.
Someone emailed them with HTML email.
The result was this.

Wow that tatto is dedication to the cause!

As for the cake, you can't tell me that foodstuffs leave the point of manufactuer without a QC check (well obviously they do but surely thats not policy?). Pretty damn funny though!

Depends what the email said.
I presume that the cake people were using a program that didn't make sense of the HTML and just displayed it in plain text.
The customer is always right. Even when he's using HTML email, which makes him a knobhead.

@DB: All that's missing is the <head></head> tags. :)

The greeting on the cake say congratualtions on your 100th birthday i believe. Doubly embarrasing to cock it up for sumthing like that

I happen to think it's an awesome cake - but I'm an old school HTML nerd...

Who knows, maybe she was a sliver Surfer who regularly updated her blog and saw the funny side. She probably made a you tube clip about it.
