The main reason for marauding is that they used a perfectly good field when the land Tillington sat on remains empty, flat, paved and fenced off. Would have made loads more sense to put all their stuff on there, rather than trash the field that many use for dogs at weekends when the footy pitches are in use.I see that the groundwork contractors have backed up the yard high berm around their encampment with steel fencing, doubtless to fend off marauding natives.
I think it also shows the cluelessness of those who have allowed this. It should have been written in to the contract that the field is not only made good but improved. It was a chance to get trees planted, a perimeter hedge, benches, all sorts of neighbour and environmental enhancements could have been bartered for use of the space. That Councillor is an idiot. The main reason for marauding is that they used a perfectly good field when the land Tillington sat on remains empty, flat, paved and fenced off. Doesn't bother me as I use the common, but the natives are restless!
One particular councillor is very happy with himself re this latest bit of Stafford to get tarmac'ed. I think he's made tarmacing everywhere his life missionI assume its a private firm outsourced to do the job, we don't have actual council teams anymore?
I thought his life mission was to never knowingly be under priced. One particular councillor is very happy with himself re this latest bit of Stafford to get tarmac'ed. I think he's made tarmacing everywhere his life mission
It won't matter, the land will be sold for housing as soon as they can, why improve or plant trees when you can build houses.I think it also shows the cluelessness of those who have allowed this. Crusty jugglers!
I thought they were protecting all these small green spaces from housing infil or does that only apply on Parkside where one Councillor lives ?It won't matter, the land will be sold for housing as soon as they can, why improve or plant trees when you can build houses.
Yes, so it'll be both on the site of Tillington Hall, nice £500,000 homes on the quiet bit where the hotel now is then ugly "affordable" flats looking like office blocks adjacent to the main road - there'll be no problems with that as far as SBC's planning department is concerned.
Early 70s is a good age for a chicken isn't it?Thought about Tillington Hall last night as I was eating a basket meal. Brought back memories of Thursday nights Tillys disco with chicken in a basket in the early 70's.
Yes, would have forgotten how to cross a road.Be a basket case by then.
