There's currently standing traffic outbound on Sandon Road at 11:00.

Seems to have cleared now at 11:20.

And stopped again at 11:30.

And clear again at 11:45 - but suspiciously quiet...

We came in from Cannock at 10.30, Radford Bank was gridlocked and Wolverhampton Road was bad. Went along Beaconside and an escort vehicle had blocked it from the A34 roundabout, whilst the ALE lorry was in the layby by Arnold Clark.

Seems well back to 'normal' now, just the daily 'lemming-run' at the moment

Alston had a massive unit passing through the town, I was at the front at the traffic lights and it was really funny watching a policeman shouting and gesticulating, especially as one car nearly went and a traffic warden joined in the gesticulations and then stood in front of the car for about five mins!

Staffs Police Facebook said it was the biggest load they'd moved through the county in 10 years, a 400+ ton load being moved, worth £11 million, on it's way to Hong Kong! An hour or so ago it was pulled over in Trentham.

Wolverhampton Road also had a funeral at the catholic church with the hearse parked on double yellows and blocking one side of the road. I have sympathy for the funeral and can maybe understand wanting to park as close as possible while unloading the coffin, but they have a car park to wait on during the service yet decide to wait on the road and block it!
