Trick or Treat!

We hear a lot of bad press about trick or treaters, mainly from the "fun busters". But i had around 15 last night, some with parents, some without, mixed ages from around 7 to 14 ish.

They were all polite and made a fantastic effort in their halloween costumes.

So if your spog was out trick or treating in the Littleworth area last night - they done you proud!

Gotta love halloween :)

We only had 4 or 5, but I'm guessing it's because no one knows our house. Is there a handy official window sign saying your happy for trick or treaters?

A lighted pumpkin lantern on your window sill, or by the front door, will do the job.

We had loads last night, and I agree with Miss Red they were all polite. Only had one group (older than the average) that didnt dress up but you never know their circumstances.

I tend to put some candles in the window so they know they can call. I ran out at one point so had to run down the shops for extra supplies :)

We tried the pumpkin last year (and I still had to eat all the chocolate) but didn't get home in time this year to put out the pumpkin in time. Also the only trick or treaters we had was before I got home, so they ventured up to the door sans pumpkin...

All of mine were polite apart from the very last ones, the two kids grabbed handfuls of the sweets then when I put them back inside one tried barging past me to get more. The mother grabbed him out by the scruff of the neck and shouted "you little s**t". Classy.

I was washing raw egg off my windows last night at 8 oclock, a gang of 7/8 youths rampaging though the estate,
hoods over there faces, shouting obscenities, NOT a nice night at all.
Seems that they had a go at loads of people on Coton Fields!

Had loads last night, most for years. :) Presume weather being mild brought 'em out! A lot came with older folks who waited at the end of the drive, (10m) The sprogs went out, the youngest with a kitted up group of mates, and the 15y old, keeping an eye on him with his mates. Not surprisingly not as much scoff as previous years, but certainly enough to rot their teeth. :teef:

Certainly hard a good few hurled at our house a few years ago, was very annoying, cos when we noticed, (next morning!) it was a hell of a job to get splattered remains off! :( But I don't know, is the answer!

We haven't had a single one. There are some advantages to living on a main road.

I agree with you Miss Red - we had quite a few at our door and all were lovely and polite. I know there are a few that always spoil the general good nature of any event but last night went off in our street without any problems. Its a shame there are a few who ruin it for others.

We had over 60 trick or treaters last night, does that mean we won? lol ALL were polite, and we had no egg or other bad incidents at all.

Total opposite of last year, where we actually put a bicycle lock on the gate and STILL had some little yobs climb over the gate and bank on the door. Gate hasn't closed right since as the little shits weight damage the attached fence.

So yup, a much better year than last, and no stupid bloody 'mischief night' crap the nigh before this year either!

We're on Wildwood and only had the neighbours little girl and her 2 mates around knocking. They were very polite and the parents stood at the top of our drive keeping an eye on them.

Hasn't done the old diet much good - guess who just HAD to eat all those remaining choccies :)

You must all live on the wrong side of Wildwood! I saw about 20-30 kids in various groups with their parents last night in our street. But very impressed that they only went to houses that were decorated and paid attention to our no trick or treat sign and didn't knock (we are not spoilsports, just have a disabled daughter who does not sleep well!).

All said thank you to the neighbours and were quite quiet in the street too.....though one lad was very excited that he had been given a creme egg.

Its nice the majority were good (there always is a few that seem to take advantage and spoil it) but the usa seems to cope with it well. Seems like a round of applause for the stafford kids then
