Uswitch advert - Stafford Bank

I was gonna post this ages ago but I forgot....sorry if it's already been mentioned somewhere....

The Uswitch advert with the lovechild of Prince and James Brown prancing around and singing (see him here), wearing an open-chested blue cloaky-thingy....when he gets off the bus he's standing outside 'Stafford Bank'!? I was wondering whether they make regional adverts, i.e does the Uswitch ad that Bobby and Cookie see in Sheffield have 'Chesterfield Bank' in t'background?? The answer's more than likely no....but why did they choose Stafford? I know Stafford rocks an' all that, and i suppose they had to choose somewhere, it's just intriguing me..

ill keep my eyes peeled and let you know....not that ive ever heard of 'chesterfield bank', but there is a 'yorkshire bank', even in the ford!

are you talking about the stafford building society? coz thats a bit different i think, the olds were harping on about them doing good mortgages when i was house hunting.

i was just a bit confused why there would be a chesterfield bank in sheffield when the steel city is so obviously much more superior to that little suburb in derbyshire.

I've seen it too and I think it's a made up bank but I have always pondered over the inspiration for good old Stafford.

we all got very excited about it, and came to the conclusion that someone on the production team must have been from the ford

I remember the spin off from Porridge, Going Straight. Ronnie Barker was on his way back home on the train and he had to stop at Stafford station, well, that's what it was supposed to be, it said it on all the signs too but it definately was not Stafford Station.
