I would say it’s more a legacy of decades of mismanagement by General Motors. PSA are now having to fix that.

It’s crap for all Vauxhall’s employees but after years of producing mediocre cars, it shouldn’t be a surprise.

The whole 'Vauxhall' thing is a little odd, it's just there for the UK.

There are Vauxhall garages in Northern Ireland, but the Republic has Opel. like everybody else does.

Indeed, it is almost impressive that they've persisted with this badge illusion for so long.

It's not like they just do it on all the RHD models and have Opel on the LHD ones - they sell RHD Opels in the Republic.
