I'm looking at a buying a hatchback or estate car in reasonable condition (ie 11+ months MOT) dated 2000+ for less than £1000.
Any idea where to look, or does anyone have one to offload?
Things I don't want are: former taxis, French cars, Kas or Corsas.
Thanks.

I have a 2003 VW Passat Estate - her name is Vanessa and she is wonderful!

I can fit a full size fridge freezer in the back, and have once fitted a motorbike in - stood up (just had to take the front wheel off!)

She does around 57 to the gallon and apart from a service she hasn't cost me a penny!

Shes not for sale (sorry!) but I would defo recommend to anyone!

I was hiring cars a lot around 03 and I always tried to get a Passat. I agree nice cars.
Not much help though.

Couple of minor scratches, but never been towed, and with 13 years of service history. Its a car I've wanted since they were annouced in 2001, so i've chuffed to bits (as us northerners are wont to say).
