Wedding crisis

Im am geting married on the 31st of october and was having the reception at the nesbitt arms in stafford , they offered us their function room for free as we dont have oodles of cash however i have just had a phone call saying they are being closed down tomorrow! does anyone know of anywhere in stafford that does free function rooms as im panicking that our day is ruined

Not sure how much the P&A costs (if anything?). Seen plenty of people have private functions there.

The Morris Man (Kingston hill) has a free function room acording to the website - http://themorrismanpub.co.uk/

You'd have to phone them to see if it's free that night though.

Sometimes the Swan have the back bar closed off for private parties, don't know what they charge though. Also the Mill at Worston have a function room, again I don't know if it's free though.

The cricket club, or some of the older pubs often have function rooms upstairs.

Have you thought of telling the local rags of your plight, someone might step in to help as it would be good free publicity for them.

I would definately ask the papers because theres bound to be a business wanting some publicity.
When we looked at The Mill, it was about £1000 for the room, inc sit down meal at lunch and evening buffet, but they may be able to do you a deal, especially if you dont want a 3 course meal.
