Hi All!

I'm having a bit of a dilemma!

We are getting married in Stafford registry office this summer, going for a nice meal at Pastiche then....

Well that's as far as I've got...

I don't want to spend my wedding night on a camp bed at my mums!

Neither do I want to have to travel up the M6 to home!

Any suggestions of places in/around Stafford that would be nice for a few days mini honeymoon?

Preferably not too far south as it just means more driving for the way up!!

Thank you thank you xxx

I know a few that have spent their wedding night at The Swan. Or The Moat House.

Book a caravan at Silvertrees caravan park on the chase for a night. You'll be out of the way so that you can have some decent alone-time, there's a pool for a skinny dip and you can drink wine and watch the deer right outside your windows during the darker hours.
I'm not taking the P either, it's what I did with wife number 1!

..... so THAT'S where I went wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Moathouse or the Swan are really the only decent quality establishments around here.

I here good things about the Premier Inns we have but that might not be the sort of romantic location you're looking for.

You could always ask @John Marwood if you can pitch a tent in his garden. At least you'd be guaranteed a stay to remember, assuming you're not mugged or stabbed to death in Doxey that is.

I believe that you can stay at the Dog & Doublet - for a more rural aspect. https://www.doganddoubletsandon.co.uk/

And would suggest a narrow boat
