Wedding suit hire in Stafford

Myself & db (Best Man & Groom, respectively) are off to get our suits fitted tomorrow for his wedding in December. At the mo we're gonna try out Greenwoods (is it still open??) and Black's...but neither of us have any experience of either.

Has anyone used either of these places, or can recommend somewhere else in town for good quality/cost/service?

Thanks.

When my sister got married we used Kevin Paul in Hednesford absolutely fantastic service. I know it's outta stafford but worth the service.

We didn't like Greenwoods as the woman who served us was in our faces all the time and wouldn't bloody shut up!

Hmmm I hadn't considered this, I have a wedding to attend in a couple of weeks and I've been putting off buying a suit for it. Perhaps this is the solution - please report back with your findings Andreas :D

We had a look in a shop in Salter Street when son was originally thinking of hiring a Prom suit and they were the most helpful.

Don't like Greenwoods after hubby spent a fortune in there once and they tried charging for the carrier bags without asking first. Just added it onto the visa transaction, but soon got it off again when hubby told them to stuff the sale!

We used Greenwoods and found them to be really helpful. They also swapped a pair of the trousers at short notice as the size had changed. If you're on O2 you can get a 25% discount with O2 Priority too.

Well...first we went to Greenwoods. The lady who we dealt with, who we later discovered to be Pauline U, as opposed to Pauline G (not sure 'G' is correct), was absolutely great. She was very helpful and we soon decided on what we'd go for if we were to get the suits from them. They have a selection of suits styles in the different materials, so you can really get an idea of how it would look & feel. They also do a like-for-like price-match.

We then went to Mister's. The bloke was nice enough, but they had nothing to try on; it was all done by fabric swatches and pictures, which didn't cut the mustard. They also had a much shorter 'delivery to shop/days to wedding' time, which worried us a bit as far as possible alterations go.

On the same road is Halpin, which states 'Formal suit hire' (or words to that effect) on the front of the building. They stopped doing them 2 years ago, so we had no joy there.

The last stop was Black's on Mill St. They've got a 50% off everything sale on, but no longer offer suit hire.

I think we'd decided on Greenwoods as soon as we'd been into Mister's. Very good service; price-match; can try stuff on. Obviously these were initial enquiries so I can't judge the final product/service, but if I had to recommend one now, it would be Greenwoods. Even if the lack of apostrophe annoys me.
