What are we watching on TV?

I have somewhat tangentially watched bits of Rick & Morty - i think it may be the next pool into which i plunge once Dirk 2 is done.

Anyone into "forensic linguistics"?

I've just finished watching "Manhunt: Unabomber" on Netflix. Definitely worth a watch if you like that sort of thing, though episode 6 was a bit of a waste of time.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is proving to be pretty good for anyone who enjoys the MCU movie franchise. It's not as dark as the Netflix series (Daredevil, Defenders, Jessica Jones, etc) but is somewhere between the two.

Not just right now, but I'm working my way through the "Breaking Bad" series on Netflix - I'm just starting Series 3 having started watching it about 4 weeks ago. I was surprised to be told by my son that the star - a sort of Ned Flanders character - had played the dad in "Malcolm in the Middle".

There’s all sorts of fan theories (probably not true) that the two shows are linked. Walt being Malcolm, being Hal, etc.

There’s also one that says the blue meth started the infection in The Walking Dead - or they’re at least in the same universe as a character is spotted with some blue meth at some point.

I watched QI on Saturday just gone and they were talking about the longest serving Soviet spy working in the UK, who they said was nicknamed 'The Bolshevik of Bexleyheath' and David Mitchell on the panel, strangely 'joked', "Also, she lived in Stafford."

I know since the Hospital issues / Rolf Harris over the past few years we've become more profile (yay!), but I found it quite odd he would use it, dare I say, "for a cheap laugh".

Anyway, as you were.....

Could this have been Russian Rob all along? :hmm:

The sad news about Bill Maynard has reminded me just how accurate The Gaffer was in portraying the squalor and untrustworthiness of British industry at the time. It was more of a drama documentary than a sit-com. The sets were supremely accurate portrayals of the Victorian conditions of the time - the open milk bottle here is a classic detail.

Have just watched Pretty Woman on dvd for about the 100th time. Went to a friends wedding in a dress similar in style to the one she wears for the polo match.

Anyone into crime dramas that hasn't already seen it, I can highly recommend "The Killing" which should be available on Netflix. There are 4 seasons. The entire of Season 1 & 2 is finding the killer of 1 girl but it's very gripping. Not to be confused with "The Killing Season" though which is something completely different.

I don't know if I've commented on this thread before, but I was also a huge fan of "Castle". Great for crime fans that like a bit of comedy and romance thrown into the mix.

Of course, the bonus of watching box sets that have completely finished broadcasting is that you're not left waiting a week at a time for the next episode.

Watched a bit of four weddings and a funeral last night - the part where Hugh Grant runs after the girl and says in the words of David Cassidy I think I love you and behaved hugely embarrassed as he prattled on. ( I love that film )

I watched Pretty Woman for about the 10th time this year, one of my favourites films ever.
