What are you eating today? for lunch, for snack, for pleasure, for pain.

I had a sausage and cheese oatcake offa the sandwich van that comes round. Very nice too. Obviously not a pie but tasty all the same.

I've been a right pig today. Normally keep it fruit at snack times and just have me sarnies, but today I have put away:

- Bowl of crunchy oat cereal
- Chocolate-topped, custard-filled Krispy Kreme doughnut
- 2 pork pies
- Tesco southern fried chicken wrap
- Salt and vinegar McCoys

jimbob you absolute bastard - your day is like snack nirvana!

krispy kreme doughnuts, pork pies, southern fried chicken, mccoy's - it reads like commandments from snack heaven, read by some kind of pie-shaped jesus!

Aw, dunna. It's well hard to get oatcakes down here. Me mum's from Stoke so we used to have them all the time. Any combo of sausage, bacon, egg, tomato and cheese and loads of brown sauce.

I never ate many oatcakes when I lived in Staff, but I always try and bring 2 packs back with me, 1 for the freezer. Cheese, tomato and brown sauce on em. Lovely. I had a business plan, to try and bring them to the south - get one of those little portable cooking stands they do crepes on and set myself up at markets and festivals, banging out oatcakes with different fillings for a few of quid a go. Most people down here won't have tasted the greasy goodness. :master:

My lunch I had a toasted cheese and tomato ciabatta from Benjyski's. It was rank.

I might use that recipe. Or I might just go down Sainsburys next time I'm in Stafford and get some of them bad boys to bring back down here.
