Hello. I recently moved from Sweden to Stafford. I haven't explored much in Stafford. But i've been to some restaurants and the theatre. I have just been here for a week now and things get pretty booring since i dont know anyone here except for my mother and my sisters.

Since i dont go to school yet i have alot of spare time on the days. So im wondering if there is any nice places in Stafford where i can spend my time on the days, got any advices?. Also what do you teens do on the weekends for fun here in Stafford?

Thanks in advance :)

Hi mystof, welcome to The Forum :)

I'm a bit too long in the tooth to know what teens do for fun these days, but hopefully there will be plenty of people here who can help you!

So, are you Swedish and have just relocated to Stafford, or are you British and just happen to have been living in Sweden for a few years?

don't mention the blinds
missing word is 'you' not to be cofused with 'yew' as in tree as in Ranton which along with the Red Lion at Bradley is the unpopular 'trouble' that's all to prevelant these days.........

Hi mysof,
I came to Stafford before I went to uni back in 2001 when I was 18 years old. It depends how old you are as to what you can do, however, anyone above 16 seems to hang around the pubs and clubs in town. Other than that, I'm not sure what there is to do. I think youth clubs are a thing of the past.
If you are younger than 18, then most kids seem to get fun out of hanging around McDonalds and intimidating people. Failing that, if you're above 17 and can drive, then attach a huge knackered exhaust onto your car, knacker the suspension, and then drive around aimlessly annoying people. That seems to be a popular pastime at the moment.

Seriously though, if you have some sort of talent such as playing a musical instrument or a sporting skill, I'm sure there are some events and activities that will take your fancy. The leisure centre at the back of ASDA may be an option...? Maybe search the Stafford Council web site.

Disclaimer: in no way am I advocating under-age drinking or fake IDs, I am merely stating the fact that young people seem to get away with a lot in town ;)
