In these circumstances, if there is a chance that things are real, ensure that you pass through areas of concentration as quickly as possible, and consider your vulnerabilities as you move away.

Avoid 'being a target' - if there is an explosion, there's often a lot of injuries from falling glass, especially in modern 'public' areas. Unfortunately, if there is going to be shooting, you need to be close to the buildings or other cover. Our history here tends to lead one to anticipate explosions as the preferred method, so far.

Yes indeed. I got as far away as I could whilst still being close enough if the kick off was only delayed, but many people stood around right outside, by a huge wall of glass. I am glad my Dad wasn't there, I'm not sure I'd have been so calm if I was also in charge of a not brilliantly mobile 77 year old.

Had a lovely day out at Bradgate park near Leicester yesterday. Gorgeous place. Took the dog and met my son for a lovely long walk then had a lovely pub lunch afterwards.

Been emptying my old shed. I think it may be a little bit rotten. Had to throw everything away, cut down an ivy which had grown over and inside it. All that is left to do is to dismantle it.

I can't get a good picture of this in action, but, after the bulb in my high-level brake light blew and was replaced, I fitted a small run of fibre optic through the housing, with the far end of it curled back to the lens of the lamp. I can now see a small tell-tale pinpoint of red light in the rear-view mirror when the brake lights are illuminated, if that bulb is still working. Bright enough to see, but not a distraction.

It was easy enough to check the two other lights by just backing up to a wall, but the central one could have been out for a while before I noticed it.

I used to use this system when I first installed 12V lighting on my pushbike, as the rough state of the roads killed bulbs fairly quickly - eventually I went LED and they have survived much better.

Just made from bits in my shed , but it's done well for the last 4 years, plus it breaks down to pack in an old suitcase. [/ATTACH]

Cornish pasty cooking, you can tell when it's done
by the faint wisp of smoke emanating from the
glowing red hot foil
