I agree.Yet lobbie and Scouse I've had, hasn't been at all thin.
I grew up on Scouse, my Mother was a Liverpudlian and her and her 4 sisters cooked it weekly.
The dish called Scouse (originally called lobskause) was brought to the port of Liverpool by sailors from Scandinavia.
People from outside Liverpool got to know the dish and enjoyed it so much that it became quite famous, so eventually the people from Liverpool became known as “Scousers”.
So the name Scousers for Liverpudlians came from the dish.
Growing up with the dish and having it cooked properly, I’ve never known it to be thin, just a gorgeous plate of tasty food.
