Who remembers Dalans?

Moved around a bit in its time, first started inside the guildhall above index on the second floor, then moved next to Lloyds bank somewhere ? Maybe in or next to Ethel Austin, and then moved by the prison.

Never visited him when he moved there though , assumed it was the same guy who just moved about.

What's your memories of the place ? Was always fascinated by the shop as a kid.

Had all sorts of weird bits, could never understand if it was a good shop, or just someone selling done up tat.

Did get the best 8 in 1 cyber pet in there though, ha.

The owner, that I knew, eventually moved to Norway, reckoned he owed a lot of money and didn't want to pay anyone.
Haven't spoken to him for years now tho.

I remember Dalans (when it was upstairs in the Guildhall and by the prison) , I'm sure we went there almost weekly at one time for my 2 eldest to buy Pokemon cards...

I think that was nextdoor, where the grass area is now - it was Paul Burton's shop and I remember some structural issues, I think.

I remember it when it was by Lloyds Bank!

We used to go in there as kids and giggle at all the prank and joke stuff!

Black face soap / whoopie cushion / stink bombs etc!

I went to Two Fat Goblins for Pokémon cards...

I don't know whether it's my memory filling in blanks erroneously here, but I have it in the back of my mind that it was originally two blokes, Darryl and Alan, hence, Dalan's but Darryl went alone either shortly before / after it moved to Market Street.

I remember it being opposite the rose and crown while I was at uni (2001-2004) useful for retro game type things.
