Working at a uni for a few weeks gave me an insight into some of the odd balls who can work outside of the private sector. The guy I reported to used to take his family to skiing resorts out of season as it was really cheap. He also made his family sit in the car for 10-20 minutes outside a car park to wait for the cheaper off peak rate to come into force.db said:working in the public sector, as i do, and having previously worked in the private sector for 14 years, i can confirm that this can certainly be true more often than not.. not all the time, or for every employer, obviously - but my experience of the public sector would definitely support this..
Nope, you cue wrong. The undoing of it would make the still yet to be revealed FoI request all the more interesting and would be interested in why it was undone.db said:cue henry scat coming along to defend the work, despite defending the initial work a few pages ago that they are now undoing lol.. then blaming it on the highways agency, and bad drivers

Still no reply to the first one?John said:I've sent in another FOI request requesting details of the reasons behind the addition of the lines and their subsequent removal, together with the costs involved. I make it they have until 1 July to reply, if they can be bothered.
Nope, have given up on that so tried a different route this time in the hope of success.Gramaisc said:Still no reply to the first one?John said:I've sent in another FOI request requesting details of the reasons behind the addition of the lines and their subsequent removal, together with the costs involved. Bit defeatist...John said:Nope, have given up on that.
Err because we were right all along and you were wrong. But I think deep down we all knew that.henryscat said:Nope, you cue wrong. Yet again you prove your inability to read and comprehend.staff4ord said:Err because we were right all along and you were wrong. But I think deep down we all knew that.

Its just bad driving regardless of what people think, if the road markings have changed then they should still drive according to the markings not "what I've always done".gilesjuk said:Well as soon as I saw it I thought it was a waste of time and given the amount of people who drive over the lines I think most people agree.
Given the lines are not solid you can go over them.henryscat said:Its just bad driving regardless of what people think, if the road markings have changed then they should still drive according to the markings not "what I've always done".
The mistake may well have been just to rely on markings to change a layout, rather than physically changing kerb lines. But then changing kerbs is significantly more expensive.
