Do any forum users have or know anyone who has access to a few wooden pallets?

I am looking for a few for a small project - not looking to pay for them or very little if I do. I have found a load "free to collector" but its about 20 miles away and since i'm moving them on roof bars on the car 2 at a time, would be better if they were local to Stafford so I could collect a few each day on way to / from work or on errands etc.

Please let me know if you know of someone / somewhere that can help, otherwise it will be a drive round a few of the industrial estates and knock on a few doors.

    Cheers

A friend of mine use to work at the council printing place in Cope Street and I had a few from there some years ago. Unfortunately, he is no longer with us, but they're unlikely to call the cops if you ask nicely...

Hi Yalla, thanks for the kind offer - I was hoping for a bit of a larger / more regular supply. Will leave it for now but thanks again for the offer.

There is what appears to be a discarded pallet up against the fence of the allotments on Coton Fields. It's on the rear access road at the back of the Corporation Street houses, about a hundred yards north of the Cambridge Street exit. About here.
