Sooty (Nick Paine from All Your Chimney Needs Ltd) has been removed by HETAS from their list of approved installers.

If you have had problems with an installation, suffered financial loss, paid for incompleted work or been the victim of inappropriate behaviour then contact Staffordshire Trading Standards (08454040506) and HETAS CEO (Bruce Allen 01242682048) directly to make a complaint.

    Boring.

Why not have your little chimney sweeps fall-outs and chucking of toys out of the pram somewhere else...

This might be a good place http://chucklezone.proboards.com

What you find boring, other users may find very useful. I think it's a good idea to try to warn the community about a potential rouge trader.

    Quite.
Is this not the same character (Nick Paine aka Sooty aka "all your chimney needs ltd") who monopolised this forum approximately 2 years ago, during which time he viciously attacked other local businesses with his ridiculous accusations ......... Repeatedly stating that he was the professional 'chimney engineer' and others should not be trusted?

Can we merge all of the assorted chimney sweep and woodburning stove installer threads and bury them in the vaults? Then encourage the immigration of a significant number of highly qualified and competent Polish chimney sweeps and stove installers who will carry out the work efficiently and at reasonable cost?

    Hmm, not so sure.

Though it might sound good to you,

    To you?

To me it's all so complicated.

    To me?

Well i would never have thought that the simple act of sweeping chimneys could be such a sweltering hot bed of angst.

I think we have all learned something here - perhaps not the thing that was originally intended - we have learned that not having to call upon the 'expertise' of a chimney sweep, as was the case in days gone by, is probably a good thing all round.

Just to be clear that any problems may not be about chimney sweepings. This person also installs solid fuel appliances which can extremely dangerous if not installed correctly.

This cretin ripped us off. Went to trading standards and HETAS. Both a waste of time. I believe in karma. Nick Paine is a c*nt

Bob, I think you'll find trading standards have taken action. If he has ripped you off I would encourage you to pursue a claim through the County Court.
