I have been dipping in and out.

I don't want to be one of those older people that live in the past and have no idea of what is current.

So I watch. And listen and look and learn.

But apart from Sam Bailey...are the others a bit insipid?

Oh sweetheart .

I am so sorry for you.

Strictly is not the run of the mill reality show.

It is an explosion of talent, glamour, colour, and it so elevates the viewer from the norm to the extravagant that you so want to be part of it.

So ...too late for this year, but give it a go next year

Carole love, no need feel sorry for me duck, the thought of hasbeen so called celebs and normal folk makin spectacles of themsens on the telly does nowt for me. Just to get back in the public eye for another 15 minutes of fame.
As for gettin glammed up etc, again no ty. My name on here is for the music I love - GlamRock. Not for tittivating myself up in fancy clothes and high heels. Contradiction, seeing how the groups of the early 70s dressed.
Ty but no ta x

I've been a bit out of the loop for the last week or two.

I rather liked Hannah's voice but i believe she's out now?

There was something promising about the one who's name i can't remember, fittingly the one who suffered memory problems of her own. Is she still there?

All the others are memorable only for other things eg hair, obscene youth, being crap etc.

Sam Bailey is ok but even there i don't really see that she is anything over and above people who 'make it' by the usual means - making music, gigging, getting noticed, getting signed etc etc.

Ultimately it is a silly show - hawking a bastardised form of 'success' while churning out a bastardised form of 'music' to a bastardised audience. And how, in the name of all that is right and proper, does one 'smash' a song?

I quite like Gary Barlow's beard though. :)

For example, i was listening to Loose Ends on the wireless a bit earlier on - only caught the end of it but they had this chapess on -

- and you kind of can't help thinking that there are a mighty multitude of fine voices that are found by less objectionable means.

We too dip in & out.....you are right, the others are insipid....& what on earth have they done (fashion wise) to Rough Copy??? Sam Bailey must win surely.

I haven't watched him speeded up......the sky plus failed last night so I missed it....and Strictly.

I cant bear those silly skirt trousers that Rough copy wear and have the wardrobe deparment saved up for some socks for Luke yet?

Talking off Rough Copy...I dont like them as much as I liked Kingsland Road.

Anyone watching I'm a Celebrity?
Its not the same without the lovely Amy.

i like luke friend - his voice is good and he makes some of the more boring songs sound different. I have to record it and just watch the singing i could not bear to listen to all the garbage from the judges. I have never seen Gary Barlow do anything fast - his speech his walking and his body language is all slow.

I'm a Celebrity?
The very definition of 'misnomer'.

The most honestly titled programme on television..?
