saw a feature about Yes Man on five news last night, the upcoming film adaptation of danny wallace's book of the same name.. it looked well funny, and i have to say i'm pretty eager to see it, not least because it's got rhys darby in it - otherwise known as "bryan nesbitt," manager of "flight of the conchords".. the guy absolutely cracks me up, just by talking.. i can't help by laugh even when i just think of him just saying "bryan nesbitt" lol..

anyone seen anything about it? or read the book?

Coincidentally I was reading this last night! I bought the book a while back to read on a flight, but ended up reading Che Guevara's 'The Motorcycle Diaries' instead. Have only read the first couple of chapters but it is very amusing. You can borrow it when i've finished it if you like.

I found the book very enjoyable; available now from a charity shop near you. :)
I was put off the film by the fact it seems to have Carrey in it :(

dunno why that would put you off, i think he's hilarious.. the list of piss-your-pants-funny films he has been in is endless, imo

liar liar
the mask
ace ventura
bruce almighty
cable guy
horton hears a who
etc.

and, of course, the immortal "dumb and dumber" which contains possibly the funniest line of any film ever: "i desperately want to make love to a school boy!"

I had that one the same VHS as Wayne's World years ago - another classic :D

Can't say I agree with Bobby on the Cable Guy, that film blows lol

The rest are top notch though. In the words of The Mask "Somebody stop me.... gagagagagagaga" /drinks cocktail after being shot 1000's of times.

Heh happy times
