Went for the chilli garlic chicken, which was lovely. My friend had the mango malai which was also great apparently :)

Some of my friends have said the food has been variable there lately. Apparently, the last couple of times they went the food was very bland and mild.
Haven't had a bad experience myself, but also haven't been since Lent kicked in...

Following many recommendations we made our 1st visit to Nirvana restaurant recently and found it to be excellent in every way.
As my wife loves Indian cuisine and I am allergic to anything to spicy, this causes us problems but the menu in Nirvana is so varied we were both spoilt for choice.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

This website doesn't seem to work anymore. I've just advised Mo that I just get the message "Unable to select the database 'redoq_posh_narvana' because:Unknown database 'redoq_posh_narvana'" when I type in this address.

He said he's looking for someone to help him getting the website running. Any offers from the more techy members of the Forum?

Says unknown DB, so I'd say the connection to the database is down or its no longer on the server that the website connects to. Shame its php otherwise I'd be able to take a quick look over it. If its still faulty tonight I may be able to help out.

Unknown database means that the database has been removed completely. Possibly narvana have got fed up of using the redoq system and just wiped it?

Went for my first eat in meal on Staurday and I must say the meal and service was fantastic... Comlimentary Baileys after the meal so we will be going back for sure... Baileys is the way to my other halfs heart you see...!

Had the murghi massala last night, top notch as always. Also went against my better beliefs and ordered a garlic sorbzi on saturday, and it was gorgeous. Only downside was it needed meat in it, a problem I often find with vegetarian dishes!

Does anywhere do an indian buffet? I'd be interested in trying some more veggie stuff, but I'm never sure what I'd like. Be great to have a way to taste a few things, but still get a dead animal if you decide its no good!

Had my first visit last night with some mates. All really enjoyed it and compared to anything else we have had in the town. We had Uree chicken, Jafrezi and Lamb Biryani, two portions of rice, poppadoms to start and all came to £33. Well worth it for the qualty and my Uree chicken and the rice(Chala paka?) was beaurtiful. Chicken was relatively mild but really tasty with a load of green beans and the rice had spinach and chick peas.

There's a chain called 'Mango Tree' up in the Stoke and Kidsgrove area. I haven't been myself but I've heard good things.

well.. went to narvana again - that's about the 7th time now.. exactly the same experience as before - unrivalled service, amazing food, fantastic atmosphere.. mo and all the waiting staff are great fun to be with, and really made an effort for andreas rex's birthday.. they even brought out a cake, which was unexpected, and complimentary brandies for everyone (bailey's for the ladies, natch)..

i really cannot imagine a better indian dining experience in stafford, to be honest..

Finally going tonight after many false starts. Is the Hyderbaldi the dish to try for a chicken curry fan?

Yep, it was fantastic. There were a few with us who'd not been before, but all stated that they would definitely go again on the strength of their experience.

I went for the Murgi Masala this time and it was really, really tasty. The complimentary bits & bobs were very much appreciated!
