Keep getting a message up again when trying to search for anything on google, wanting me to agree to their terms and conditions and not letting me google anything unless I do :( That's while using Chrome, but got round it tonight by using another browser. Anyone else getting it?
I use Chrome - I've never had that - I do get the odd (twice-weekly-ish) request to review my privacy.

Starts off like this

And then goes on to say you have to 'accept' terms and conditions which incude tracing all your movements etc

That's part of what comes up..............what do I do? Click 'agree' and hope all carries on as normal ? Or just not search for anything on Chrome anymore?

They're essentially just telling you what they've already been doing.

They had all this scattered across multiple "agreements" and have been told to tidy it up and put it all in one place, it seems.

Thanks....on that basis then, I've just clicked 'Agree' and it's letting me google again. Will just have to watch what I'm googling in future ;) (This all started with crumpets... )

(Facebook has managed to find that I am known to a person who only knows my first name and my mobile number.)

I read something about this earlier in the week - if you have listed your phone number in your Facebook details (used also as a sign in, or security details - even if not set as public) someone may then use the phone number in the Facebook search & it will automatically bring up your Facebook page, doesn't matter if that know your name or not....

I don't recall ever entering it in Facebook - if it would work for me, then I would check....
