Aborted my earlier walk after a few minutes of trying to keep on my feet on the frozen pavements. Going back out later when the ground has thawed out.

Wonderful, the back door key has just broken off in the lock, & thanks to my nagging on Sunday the husband fixed the latch on the back gate so that no-one could slide their hand in to open it from the front..... :(

Ah ta,
They were in Stafford in one of the previous series as well.( Looked like Windsor Road area on that previous one)

In fact seen Stafford featured on quite a few programs, think these TV presenters must like visiting our town !

That's because the soft buggers haven't yet worked out they can charge appearance fees

@John Marwood 's avatar makes me laugh (yes, I've seen the original & that's not why) - at Christmas when visiting the oldies in Derrington I asked them why the people round the corner had a 'Grim Reaper' ontop of their garage as part of their Christmas lights display... turns out its just an overly large parasol! :strange:

Still, I thought it funny....Grim Reaper at Derrington!

Phew! Might have a celebratory cider tonight when I get back from Worcester .... Bowel cancer test results just came through the post.....'Normal' :bananafunk:

Just walked past the new Aldi. Hasn't taken them long to dig up the brand new pavement they laid last week. Looks like they tarmacked over a grid

Fantastic! :toot:
Glad you lot told me to get it done and out the way now, instead of waiting a few months until after my hols. :) The way I've been feeling lately I was convinced it was going to be bad news.

Most put out when the girl in Boots didn't want to see my ID when I activated my 'Over 60's' card. Usually get taken for a lot younger, but must be looking my age (or even older than that :o ) today!

Got up to no heating again this morning, fault light flashing for the air filter. Found leccy heaters and resigned myself to fruitless phone calls, months of waiting, huge electric bills etc. Whilst waiting for it to turn 9am the oh gets up, snarls at the boiler and enquires if I've given it a wallop. On hearing I hadn't he did. Bloody thing actually starts working again lol. It's been fine all day now although I do eye it suspiciously each time I go in the kitchen.
Huge relief saved so much fuss.

I've come to the conclusion I've eaten far too much on my week off. Today I will go back to me normal eating routine, which is to eat within break and lunchtimes only, as I would do at work and not stuff my face every minute in between and look like pacman :aboot:
