If YOU have to ask, then the answer has to be no.Can you still get just the rubber blades for windscreen wipers anywhere? Everybody seems to want you to buy a whole new blade, which seems daft to me.
Not a very helpful reply considering G is the MOST helpful member on the forum!google is my friend

Yes you can G.
Halfords do them http://www.halfords.com/motoring/bu...per-blades/halfords-r05-wiper-blade-refill-16
Or they are available at a more realistic price here http://www.wiperblades.co.uk/accessories/refill-28/
Have used wiperblades.co.uk many times, they can be trusted.
Still is standard practice as far as I'm concerned. Hardly a difficult job.In the old days it was the standard practice, indeed, a blade holder would only be replaced if it fell apart. - Consumerism gone mad.
In this case it is a modern classic.I thought he had a classic car so it might be difficult to find some for his vehicle.
Indeed, I haven't had to do it this century and just assumed it still would be, but it seems that full replacement is 'normal' now.Still is standard practice as far as I'm concerned. Hardly a difficult job.
When my 'normal' car went in for it's first service a couple of months ago, the dealer identified that the wiper blades were worn (they weren't, they were just trying to fleece me) and helpfully fitted a new pair of blades and holders for the bargain price of £127 + VAT. I expressed some surprise at this and then offered to drastically slash the price to £110 + VAT.Indeed, I haven't had to do it this century and just assumed it still would be, but it seems that full replacement is 'normal' now.
Your eyes will be a better method of judging.I wonder if my car will tell me when I need new ones ... it tells me when things need replacing.

A lot of these "sensors" are just gimmicks. It has a habit of telling me to check my tyres when there is nothing wrong with them.

Walton garage tried that on both our Corsas we took in for their first services. Had a phone call both times ,not long after I'd dropped the car off , to say the back wiper blade needed replacing . I declined and said I'd get it done elsewhere....nothing wrong with them each time !When my 'normal' car went in for it's first service a couple of months ago, the dealer identified that the wiper blades were worn (they weren't, they were just trying to fleece me) and helpfully fitted a new pair of blades and holders for the bargain price of £127 + VAT. Needless to say they had to fetch the originals out of the bin and fit them again. Fortunately they were undamaged.
Shysters.
