I was going to say it's got a long way to go, but felt a tad harsh. It's got a very long way to go... since it won't be opening!
It's got a little way to go, to be a bar i'd aim for on a Saturday night, or a place i'd aim for, for a bite to eat on a weekday.
Purely down to the decor (and knowing the place when it was Chambers), disappointed.
It's documented well in the new eateries thread, but basically, the owner has did a runner n left everyone high n dry.I was going to say it's got a long way to go, but felt a tad harsh.
I'll say if it doesn't pull itself together, then 6 months.
Unless you like the Chinese restaurant big light's on, vibe. Uh, there's that harshness i was talking about.
When you say it won't be opening, how'd i get a drink in there Saturday night, or was that it, one night only thing?

It was closed when I walked past a couple of times on Saturday night. When you say it won't be opening, how'd i get a drink in there Saturday night, or was that it, one night only thing?
Never go by gossip Carole, i thought you knew that?Did you? How?
I thought that there wasn't any furniture....
Ah, that would explain it.I believe the place closed around half 12 on Saturday night.
Le Plot, it thickens. From Spotted Stafford:
"
Firstly I would like to make an OFFICIAL announcement and correct reason on the Living Room Stafford.
The owners have not absconded and left the business, and the simple explanation of the employees not getting paid their salary is untrue and false. All employees are paid at the end of the month and are not due salaries until the 1st of the month. We use a company named LivePay who can clarify that since all the employees were only added to them last week by the local management of The Living Room.
With regards to employees contracts being fake our company uses Peninsula we have informed them of certain comments and they are looking into these allegations.
The ticket event that we had in place was also on ticketing portals and all monies was returned to everyone that purchased a ticket on the following Skiddle and The Ticketsellers.
Now I would like to add the so called reason to close. We had over 289 people attend on the Saturday night and we would like to thank each and everyone of you that made an effort to attend. The closure is something we are looking into.
Now we also understand that employees not all were drinking from the bar for free and also taking bottles of alcohol home with them, and stealing from the kitchen. Whilst also disabling our CCTV, however we have an automated back up system in place and all CCTV was still recording. This is a serious matter and Stafford Police have been informed and are making their lines of enquiry.
If anyone else would like to comment further then please contact our solicitors who who are also looking at this serous gross misconduct. They are Priyesh Dave, Eversheds Sutherland.
We will keep people informed when we will reopen."
Having been in, this very Saturday (May 6th 2017) i can and have confirmed they have furniture and the chairs are of the Chinese restaurant gone bust, variety.I can confirm they have furniture, I looked through the window. Assuming its not open in the day?

Don't get me wong, i'm not taking the wet entirely, it's only that i had The Living Room down as a potential classy type of place, so was disappointed when i saw the effort.
