Today I saw...

...a most bizarre thing.

I'm getting immune to seeing Union Flags upside down, it's fairly common round here - but, today, I saw a chap flying an England flag, the daft sort with England written on it - upside down.

Merely having 'England' written on it is daft enough, but to then fly it inverted is a special kind of carelessness.

... a possible reason, of sorts, behind this, opposite the end of Crabbery Street.

Going to get a picture of the 'unseen' side of St Chad's Church,

I noticed these chaps on the corners at the top of the tower.

I'll get a 'closer' shot at some point, but they look very similar. Is there some sort of Chad connection?

Enjoying a drop of red.
Apart from when there's a service on, does anyone know if St Chad's is ever open simply for folk to have a mooch round?

Yes it is, but they don't have as many volunteers as St. Mary's do, so it is not something they can 'advertise'. If it is open it will be a Saturday, but look out also for events like the Music/Arts Festival, where there will be more of a likelihood of some mooch time.

I think they generally open for the 'Heritage Open Day(s)' in September also.

I went into a church once, and a weird bloke in a white dress threw water on my head and called me names. I thought, f**k that for a game of soldiers. :buddy:

And I think I've figured out the Cannock thing, the aircraft just about reaches it's 'pump out the crap tank' limit there, but it's a well known fact throughout the world, that Cannock people don't take sh*t from anybody. :buddy:
