The Michael Edwards technique.bear in mind the official comment of " we dont have any plans to make anyone redundant" is the same type of Tory speak used when they want to actually do it , but use the those terms to bypass the flack til later , then do it.
I can 100 percent confirm that within the first 2 months of the new year , Argos in gaolgate place will be closing and be relocated to within Sainsbury's
Cant help wondering how much longer h&b will stay there, the whole place is looking very shabby, if they moved onto kingsmead it might be the precursor for a major redevelopment of the sheridan site to totally change and revitalise the whole area north of the market square.Although it is taking forever and maybe I got carried away with my 100% before..... this is very much still in the pipeline.

I think they were careful to say that "no stores of either brand would close as a result of the merger" (or words to that effect). But three years down the line, after they've looked at the balance sheets, who's to say?

It won't be up to the company to decide if they keep a store open or not should it go ahead..Stafford is a growth town and the amount of housing is set to increase for years to come. I think both supermarkets will be fine. They appeal to very different shoppers.
Can't remember now, but remember a store full of glass cases with all the goodies in..What did ya buy
