They came in a triangular shape, but sometimes when you squeezed it the whole thing popped out on the floor.

We weren't hooligans, we had the glass bottles. We used to have 'school milk' in those in the early 60's.
I used to like being the 'milk monitor' , using the bodger thing to make the holes in the top of the foil tops for the straws. Used to love those little glass bottles of milk.We used to have 'school milk' in those in the early 60's.
You can still get these, in B & M or Home Bargains I think.Anyone remember the Orange Jubbly in the 70’s?

Ditto. The cardboard containers half full festering in the sunshine put me off for life. Haven't drank 'raw' milk since infant school.I'm pretty sure school milk is the reason I can't drink milk on it's own now.
I loved those little foiled top glass bottles of milk so much that any left over was soon guzzled by me. I've loved it ever since and drink gallons of milk . ( When we go to the airport , first stop is Boots for a few little plastic bottles of milk whilst waiting for the flight , and to take on the plane for the journey )We were taking about school milk last night over skype, mostly we had it in glass bottles with foil tops. I'm pretty sure school milk is the reason I can't drink milk on it's own now.
All I'm bothered about during this Covid virus, and trying not to go to the shops with hubby being vulnerable, is where can I get my milk from.
Thanks @Thehooperman Managed to get a couple of 4 pints on my farm shop delivery today, but they don't always have it .Also been driving to the nearby Shell petrol station whilst it's been deserted during lockdown and normally just me in. Costs more, but not risking going inside supermarkets at the moment. Although with more traffic around now that is going to be busier."Milk and more" deliver milk in glass bottles and also sell other products such as bakery, fresh grocery, pantry goodies, etc. Not sure if they do the mini milk bottles from school days though.
I've not used them myself but they're supposed to be good.
Could save you risking going out for a while.
