Awwww she's lovely too. Well done to your son for giving her a good home too. The vet told us , when our new rescue kept being car sick, to take her on really short journeys to nice fun walks, even if only a minute up the road, and gradually increase it. It worked.
He's been trying that, even a 2minuite drive to a lovely park that she loves means a car full of projectile vomit, same on the way home.

Betty's been great in the car, we had a couple of stops but she got all the way back from Bedford without incident, she’s beginning to understand the concept of the lead too, getting excited when she sees her harness.

I’m keeping her on lead in the garden and she’s had 4 short walks in the rain. We’ve had a couple of accidents but nothing more concerning, she’s friendly and pretty chilled which is nice.

That's such a shame . She must be so petrified of travelling :( Keep persevering , she'll get there in the end (says me who's travel sick after a couple of yards if not driving..)

Today (another effing day of wind and rain) I made a conscious decision to get pissed. Proper pissed, not the pissed I've been of late with all the stuff that's going on, but ... pissed pissed!!. I have a set of optics strategically placed behind the kitchen door for such decisions. I'm not normally a spirit drinker, but the odd shot now and again is like earthing a good radio, it connects you to your planet.
Today however, it was shit or bust and f**k the medication. Gin and tonics with fresh lemon slices and 'Sod em I call em' as my Old Dear used to say. I know I'll pay for it tomorrow, don't f**king care. There are times when you just have to pull the trigger ... and see where the bullet goes. (I'm have to keep adusting the typing on this because the screen is a bit blurry.)
There is one consolation in all this, being retired, I dont have to get up to go on watch in the morning. Strangely I kind of miss that. (I must be f***ing barmy.) Oh yeah ... weekend in pictures, well ... will my kitchen do ?

Hope the hsngover’s easing.
I love how those optics (judging by the door handle) are perfectly positioned to get a refill without breaking stride as you pass.

Bit of a run from Stafford for a few days but very nice.
Hubbys got loads of hols to take before next April , so would probably be more like a week. He's had a look at it and keen to try pastures new. (Forgot all about our hol to Margate/Cliftonville all those years ago when we first met, until looking at the map. We were actually one of the B&B's first customers for them trying a kettle and tea making equipment on in the room , it wasn't the norm at the time)

We're on a nice site just outside Dymchurch, not much in Dymchurch itself but the beach is nice for walks and the site is very quiet.
