I took this pix about 12 years ago on Christmas Day morning when staying with family in Tividale. I was making my way down to the Netherton Tunnel and I was amused to see gulls in the heart of the Black Country. The roads were empty given the early time of that day, and a bunch of birds were having a bit of a peck in the quiet conditions.
Couldn't resist putting in the balloon comment as it seemed to fit. Gulls usually tend to be very unfussy eaters.

In Bournemouth the other week we saw a fenced off part of the seafront cliffs , with trees and shrubs all decimated. Poster on railings read something like ' This site has been cleared in order to built a centre to educate people about tree and habitat conservation '

I wonder if the cook's name was Zeno by any chance.
PS Don't get too serious with this, as soon as you start thinking about infinity you should go down the pub and get pissed.

Don't know why but that made me think of this -
