Pork ribs & chicken thighs in Peking sauce with boiled rice. Didn't have any prawn crackers so did a couple of poppadoms for a bit of crunch.

The carer has done nothing about tea either, even though he said he would cook all week..... So I've shoved some lemon & parsley basa into the oven, along with frozen triple cooked chips, minted mushy peas and bread & butter to go with.

Had Wok Stop earlier.
Thick egg noodles, beef, chicken, pork and mushrooms. In a sweet n sour sauce. There's other stuff in there, but that's the bits I chose. Well filling.

Take away from........ 🥁 Thawa Bridge! Thank you to @Gramaisc for the recommendation.... We had...

Chicken pathia
Chicken thawa
Keema rice
Keema naan

And soomhow a huge amount of free saag aloo and papadoms!

Delicious.... The Pathia isn't 'quite' the same as Narvarnas, but I think it can be worked on & the other items were delicious! More added garlic & chilli next time, but we will definatly order from there again.

Thursday ended up being pizza...

Last night I wanted real comfort food after being outside on the cold a day so we had cheesy mash, bacon and beans!

Yesterday we had braised steak and roast potatoes, with a few roasted carrots for me. I bunged it all in a casserole dish, smothered it with thick gravy and shoved in on a low heat to slowly reach perfection, took about 4 hours. It was, if I do say so myself, gorgeous. It just fell apart.
Tonight, we're having exactly the same meal. Youngest eats the lot, even the manky trim of fat on the edge 🤢
I start a month of nights from tomorrow, so we won't get many chances of having a meal together, he's on nights too.

Bloody lovely.
I took a drive up to Wayne Walkers. Each steak is big enough for two, but not in this house.
