It's a lovely drive, if you avoid the manholes. Why is it so poorly tarmaced, the manholes are nowhere near flush with the surface of the road, noticed when heading from Sainsburys to Halfords. Very shoddy
Yes. I'm not generally in agreement that new roads are anything but a temporary solution to traffic issues but at the moment this one does shorten my weekly venture to Haughton for dog training significantly. It's very useful for us north enders who are no longer trapped by having to conquer traffic hell Island everytime we wish to escape the North end of town! It's just that they haven't done a very good job of the manholes! It's a lovely drive, if you avoid the manholes.
I think it's to make it authentic with the original Chell Road routeWhy is it so poorly tarmaced, the manholes are nowhere near flush with the surface of the road, noticed when heading from Sainsburys to Halfords. Very shoddy
But oh so predictable sadly . Hope everyone is ok.First accident on the new road, didn't take long
I could only see the one car , think the other may be parked up, but the one car looked like something had run straight alongside it .But oh so predictable sadly . Hope everyone is ok.
Well there's a surprise, isn't it?I could only see the one car , think the other may be parked up, but the one car looked like something had run straight alongside it .
This is exactly what they do in Liverpool, because many of the locals are too stupid to understand how traffic lights work. It makes every single journey an absolute nightmare of waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting. It looks like Stafford motorists are struggling to understand if you turn right at a cross roads you give way to oncoming traffic. The only thing highways could do is change the lights so each arm of the junction went separately leading to traffic build-up and delays.
Could they make it a box junction to really screw things up??It looks like Stafford motorists are struggling to understand if you turn right at a cross roads you give way to oncoming traffic. If this is true then a simple solution would be a sign by Halfords reminding that opposite has right of way and a sign by Lidl carpark reminding them that if turning right you have right of way. I will admi I didn't know that this was the case.It looks like Stafford motorists are struggling to understand if you turn right at a cross roads you give way to oncoming traffic. With the tedious predictability that is Highways, I'm sure plans are already in hand.Could they make it a box junction to really screw things up??
How do you arrive at those “right of way” comments ?If this is true then a simple solution would be a sign by Halfords reminding that opposite has right of way and a sign by Lidl carpark reminding them that if turning right you have right of way. I will admi I didn't know that this was the case.
I got the post mixed up I was quoting but switch the signs to opposite sides. I didn't come to those right of way comments. I said if correct. How do you arrive at those “right of way” comments ?

As I have said before …….
